Neida and revenge

I was asked by a friend about creating a trailer for a certain book. First rough plan was to simple animate a cover, but with time this project morphed into 3d animation. I needed possibility of fast iterations of my ideas, so I decided to render it in Unreal Engine.

Project has changed strongly in comparison to its first version. At first, it supposed to be simple animation in After Effects, but in the end it turned out that creating 3d world would give us additional value. Here’s trailer that I’m writing about:

Textures: Substance Painter

*Base for dragon was downloaded from the web, and after few adjustments animated in Blender.
